On 29th March 2019 Aviva Life and Pensions UK Limited, (UKLAP) the original provider of your policy transferred some of its insurance business to Aviva Life and Pensions Ireland Designated Activity Company (ALPIDAC), by way of a Court sanctioned insurance business transfer scheme under Part VII of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. From the 29th March 2019 the provider of your policy is now ALPIDAC.
ALPIDAC and UKLAP entered into a reinsurance treaty whereby UKLAP reinsured the transferred life assurance business on behalf of ALPIDAC. This means the day-to-day administration of your policy is undertaken by UKLAP or one or more of its outsourced companies.
Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation
The European Union Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR) is designed to improve the standard and transparency of sustainability related disclosures made in relation to financial products. This is to help investors understand the ESG (environmental, social, and governance) characteristics of the fund, along with the sustainability risks and impacts of those financial products.
While your product(s) are not open to new business, ‘Our Sustainability Policy’ explains ALPIDAC’s approach to the integration of sustainability risks into the investment process as well as also providing information on how the adverse impacts of investment decisions on sustainability factors are considered.
Funds and SFDR criteria
A unit-linked fund is a pool of assets, looked after by a fund manager, that many individuals invest in.
Many of our unit-linked funds have underlying holdings in other funds which are managed by a different company. We refer to these types of holdings as “External fund holdings”. These holdings may be managed by a different company in the Aviva Group (for example Aviva Investors UK Fund Services Limited) or by another fund management compa
Where you invest in an external fund offered by a third-party investment manager you should refer to that fund managers website for information relating to their approach to sustainability information in relation to those funds.
The SFDR requires fund managers to disclose how ESG (Environmental, social, and corporate governance) is integrated at the fund level.
Article 9
Funds that specifically have sustainable investments as their objective (for example investing in companies that aim to reduce carbon emissions).
Article 8
Funds that promote environmental and / or social characteristics but do not have sustainable investment as their core objective.
Article 6
Funds that have no sustainability focus or characteristics. they may include stocks that mioght be currently excluded from ESG focused funds such as tobacco companies.

SFDR Disclosures
SFDR requires Aviva to provide and make available sustainability related disclosure documents, these include Periodic Disclosures and Website Disclosures. You can access these disclosures for each fund you are invested in through the relevant hyperlinks provided in the Funds Table below. These documents are maintained and updated by the relevant fund managers and the latest versions are regualrly added to the Funds Table by Aviva.
You will find the title of each fund you are invested in set out within your annual benefit statement (ABS). You should review your ABS in conjunction with the relevant disclosures available through the links provided below.
